Green and not so green plants this week

This week was tough on my Amaryllis, as the fluctuating temperatures and expected frost took a toll on its foliage, but at least the bulbs are hardy in zone 8b, which gives me hope for their recovery and future growth. Despite the challenges with the Amaryllis, I am beginning to get some decent-sized peppers; I am eagerly anticipating the day when I can harvest them and make some fajitas.

The Canterbury Bells Sprouted

It finally happened. My Canterbury Bells sprouted! Initially, when I planted the seeds the first time, they did not respond, leaving me questioning whether I had perhaps missed something. However, my persistence paid off as I decided to try winter sowing, a method I had heard great things about. This time, the seeds responded beautifully to the colder conditions, demonstrating that patience and a little experimentation can sometimes lead to success in the garden.
