This is my zone 8b Louisiana garden journal.
This week was cold and windy. I am thankful we put the wood frames in the greehouse to keep it standing. This year the fiddle leaf figs came inside since they did not do well in the greenhouse last year. I will cover everything when it gets in the 20’s.
My canna lilies and dahlias I want to keep are dug and placed in the greenhouse. I have a plan to continue growing my tomatoes and peppers. I took tomato cuttings of some varieties. I also have growing experiments planned with some dahlia and zinnia seeds. I will update when I get results. I am already preventing leaf miners by using a spinosad product. I am also going to keep insects and fungal diseases at bay using organocide alternating weekly with the spinosad.
