I recently planted some ornamental kale and cabbage in the birdbath bed. It will fill out very soon and look nice. This is an inexpensive way to create color during winter. I planted the seeds indoors a little late in October but they grow fast once they are planted out. The white dandelion blooms during the winter so provides some winter interest for my garden.
